Our Trip to Silver Springs/Washington DC to Visit Jacquie and Ryan

Well it has been a while since I have written, but I wanted to tell you about our great trip to Silver Springs/Washington DC. We left on Thursday June 26th and drove about half way and stayed at this nice hotel. Vanessa like the decor so we took a picture of it.

Then we got up in the morning early and arrived at Jacquie and Ryan's around 11:30 a.m. We had a great visit.

While there we visited a free zoo, visited the memorials and monuments in Washington and went to Six Flags Maryland.

We took the metro everywhere and it was fun.

It sure was great to see Jacquie and Ryan again. They were so gracious and let us take up their whole living room with suitcases and air mattresses. I'm sure they were happy to get their living space back when we left.

And Jacquie did a wonderful job cooking all week for us. She even cooked a Irish dinner for Josh in honour of his mission. She has turned into a great little cook.

It was so nice that Ryan took time to go the memorial monuments and Six Flags with us. We were even blessed to have Jess (Ryan's brother) and his friend Evan with us in Washington. It was sad to say goodbye, especially because we don't know when we will see them again and Josh won't see them for 2 years. But we were so grateful for their hospitality.
